Scouts and Sea Cadets Join Forces

Last week, our Scouts enjoyed a fantastic joint evening with the local Sea Cadets
as we continue to strengthen the partnership between our two organisations.

The evening, which was organised and hosted by the Sea Cadets on Minchinhampton
Common, gave young people from both groups the opportunity to meet, work together
and take part in a variety of games and activities in the great outdoors.

It was wonderful to see new friendships being formed and plenty of teamwork,
laughter and healthy competition throughout the evening.

At Stroud Valley Scout Group, we firmly believe that working alongside other
uniformed youth organisations creates valuable opportunities for young people.
By sharing experiences, skills and activities, we can offer greater variety in
our programmes and help young people develop confidence, teamwork and leadership
skills whilst meeting others from their local community.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Sea Cadets for organising such
an enjoyable evening and for making us feel so welcome.

We are already looking forward to welcoming the Sea Cadets to our Scout
Headquarters in the coming weeks, where we hope to return the favour and host
another exciting evening together.
