About us

Stroud Valley Scout Group is part of Stroud & Tetbury District. We have a long, scouting history with the original St Lawrence Scout Group formed in 1936 and St Peters Scout Group formed in 1952. In 1981, the groups merged to become Stroud Valley Scout Group.

The Scout Group has three sections. We meet on Wednesday and Thursday evenings during term time.

  • Wednesday – 6pm to 7pm Beavers and 6.15pm to 7.45pm Cubs
  • Thursday – 7.15pm to 9pm Scouts

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
