Stroud Valley Scout Centre

A bright, flexible and family-friendly venue in the heart of Stroud, with two halls, kitchen facilities and a large enclosed outdoor area.

The Stroud Valley Scout Centre is ideal for parties, classes, rehearsals, meetings, youth activities and community events. When you hire the Centre, you get use of both indoor halls, the kitchen and our large enclosed outdoor area, unless otherwise agreed.

Every booking helps support Scouting in Stroud, with hire income going directly back into running our Scout Group, maintaining our site and helping local young people gain skills for life.

Main Hall

The Main Hall is a bright, versatile space suitable for busier sessions, parties and active events.

Capacity: Up to 50 people

Secondary Hall

The Secondary Hall is perfect for smaller groups, classes, meetings and quieter activities. Many hirers use both halls together for flexible setups.

Kitchen

The Centre includes a simple, practical kitchen suitable for preparing drinks, party food and light refreshments. It’s located close to both halls for easy access during your event.

• Kettle
• Oven
• Worktop space
• Access to water and cleaning supplies

Please note: this is a light-use kitchen, not a full commercial kitchen.

Outdoor Area

Our fully enclosed outdoor space is ideal for games, supervised play and warm-weather sessions.

Capacity: 150+ people

Hire Rates

Our simple hire rates cover the whole Scout Centre:

• £15 per hour
• £200 overnight – 6pm to 10am
• £350 full weekend – Friday 6pm to Sunday 10am

Scout or Guide groups receive 25% off 24-hour, overnight and weekend bookings.

All income from venue hire goes back into supporting Stroud Valley Scout Group, helping us maintain and improve the site for young people and the wider community.

Rules & Restrictions

• Alcohol allowed with the appropriate licence
• Bouncy castles permitted indoors and outdoors
• Noise must be kept low after 10pm
• Parties must finish by 9pm
• Open flames and candles permitted only by prior agreement
• No pets allowed
• No smoking or vaping anywhere on site
• Hirers must hold appropriate public liability insurance where required for their activity

Access & Booking Information

• Access details will be provided once your booking is confirmed
• No meet-and-greet is normally required on arrival
• Early setup may be available by arrangement
• Please leave the venue clean and tidy
• Deposits are required for overnight and weekend bookings
• Minimum booking notice: 24 hours
