In-Kind Support

In-Kind Support

Not all support needs to be financial. Stroud Valley Scouts welcomes in-kind contributions from individuals, businesses and community organisations who want to help us deliver skills for life to young people across Stroud.

Your donated materials, equipment, skills or services can make a huge difference to the activities we run, the buildings we maintain and the outdoor spaces we care for.

How You Can Help

We gratefully accept a wide range of practical support, including:

  • Equipment donations (tools, camping gear, activity materials)
  • Trade skills (carpentry, electrics, plumbing, building, decorating)
  • Professional expertise (IT, marketing, design, legal, finance)
  • Outdoor or grounds support (gardening, fencing, maintenance)
  • Materials for projects (wood, paint, fixings, hardware, soil, plants)
  • Printing or signage support
  • Loan of specialist tools or equipment
  • Meeting space or storage for specific projects

Why Your Support Matters

Every contribution helps us:

  • Keep Scouting affordable for families
  • Maintain and improve our Scout Centre and Coach House
  • Develop our outdoor spaces for adventure and learning
  • Run more activities and improve the quality of our programme
  • Support our ongoing refurbishment and accessibility work

What We Currently Need

Our needs change throughout the year. Some typical examples include:

  • DIY materials and tools for refurbishment and repairs
  • Gardening tools, plants and landscaping supplies
  • Camping and outdoor equipment
  • Activity supplies for craft, cooking or skills sessions
  • Professional or trade support for planned improvement projects

If you’re not sure whether something you can offer would be useful, please just ask — we’re always happy to chat.

Working With Local Businesses

Many businesses support us through donations of materials, discounted services or lending specialist equipment. This helps reduce costs, speed up improvement work and strengthen our connection with the local community.

If you’re a business looking to make a practical contribution, we can also combine in-kind support with our sponsorship tiers.
