An Inspiring Double Honour for Stroud Valley
Double Honour for Stroud Valley Scouts as Inspiring New Cubs Leader Receives County Commendation

Stroud Valley Scouts are delighted to welcome Aimee, who joined the group this term as our new Cubs Team Lead, and to celebrate an incredible achievement already marked by a County Commissioner’s Commendation Award.
The Commendation Award is rarely issued by the County Lead (County Commissioner), making this recognition particularly special. Even more remarkable is the fact that this is the second County Commendation associated with Stroud Valley Scouts, following the recent award given to Aimee’s son, Reginald, for his inspirational charity fundraising.
Aimee has thrown herself into her new role with energy, commitment, and enthusiasm. In a short space of time, she has completed the necessary training and quickly embraced the Scout values, helping to get the Cub Pack up and running again. This has been achieved with the support of our dedicated Young Leaders and other Leaders who are currently doing joint roles alongside helping with Cubs.

The award was presented by District Lead Paul Bentley on behalf of County Commissioner Carole, recognising the effort Aimee has gone to in completing her training and the positive impact she is already making within the group.
“Aimee has demonstrated an outstanding level of commitment in such a short space of time. Her enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and dedication to providing quality Scouting for young people truly reflects our values. It is wonderful to see the positive difference she is already making within Stroud Valley Scouts.”
Aimee is already looking ahead, with plans underway for a joint Cub camp with Randwick in January, giving our young people exciting new opportunities to learn, grow, and have fun together.

“We are incredibly proud of Aimee and everything she has achieved since joining the group. Restarting the Cub Pack was no small task, and she has approached it with positivity, determination, and a real passion for Scouting. On behalf of the whole group, I want to thank her, along with our Young Leaders and those supporting Cubs alongside their other roles, for the huge amount of work they have put in.”
Stroud Valley Scouts are extremely grateful for everything Aimee has done in such a short time and are excited to see the Cub Pack continue to grow and thrive under her leadership.
Well done, Aimee — and thank you for everything you do for our young people.
Want to help make moments like this possible? We’re always looking for adult volunteers to support our young people.
