Welcoming Antony to the Team
Antony Joins Stroud Valley Scouts as Local Partnerships Lead

We’re delighted to welcome Antony to the Stroud Valley Scouts volunteer team, who joined us at the start of December 2025 as our new Local Partnerships Lead.
In his role, Antony focuses on building and strengthening relationships between Stroud Valley Scouts and the wider local community. This includes working with local organisations, groups, and partners to help create new opportunities for young people and support the long-term sustainability of the group.
Strong local partnerships play an important role in helping Scouting thrive. Whether it’s working with community groups, local businesses, or other organisations, Antony’s work helps ensure Stroud Valley Scouts remains well connected, visible, and supported within the Stroud area.
Antony joined the team at the same time as Drew, and together they are helping strengthen different but equally important parts of the group — from our facilities and site, to the relationships that help us grow and reach more young people.
The Local Partnerships Lead role is largely behind the scenes, but its impact is far-reaching. By developing strong connections locally, Antony helps open doors to new opportunities, resources, and collaborations that benefit our young people, volunteers, and the wider community.
We’re really pleased to have Antony on board and are grateful for the time and skills he brings to the team as we continue to grow Stroud Valley Scouts and the opportunities we can offer.
