These documents cover all hireable spaces, including the Scout Centre and the Coach House.


The Stroud Valley Scout Centre is a bright, flexible and family-friendly venue in the heart of Stroud. When you hire the Centre, you get full use of both indoor halls, the kitchen and our large enclosed outdoor area (unless already booked).

It’s ideal for parties, classes, rehearsals, meetings, youth activities and community events. All income supports Scouting in Stroud, helping local young people gain skills for life.

  • Main Hall: up to 50 people
  • Secondary Hall: up to 50 people
  • Outdoor area: 150+ people (unless already booked)
  • 5 on-site parking spaces + on-street parking
  • £10 per hour (up to 8 hours)

Your booking gives you access to the following spaces:

  • Main Hall – our largest indoor space
  • Secondary Hall – ideal for smaller groups or breakout activities
  • Outdoor Area – fully enclosed, safe and spacious
  • Kitchen – with fridge, kettle and oven

Everything is included in one simple hire rate.

Main Hall

The Main Hall is a bright, versatile space suitable for busier sessions, parties and active events.

Capacity: Up to 50 people

  • Fast WiFi across the site
  • Direct access to the outdoor area

Secondary Hall

The Secondary Hall is perfect for smaller groups, classes, meetings and quieter activities. Many hirers use both halls together for flexible setups.

  • Close to kitchen and facilities

Kitchen

The Centre includes a simple, practical kitchen suitable for preparing drinks, party food and light refreshments. It’s located close to both halls for easy access during your event.

Facilities include:

  • Fridge
  • Kettle
  • Oven
  • Worktop space
  • Access to water and cleaning supplies

Please note: this is a light-use kitchen, not a full commercial kitchen.

Outdoor Area

Our fully enclosed outdoor space is ideal for games, supervised play and warm-weather sessions. This area is included with Centre bookings unless it has been pre-booked by another group.

Capacity: 150+ people

Please note: the venue does not currently offer step-free access or an accessible toilet.

Hire Rates

Our simple hire rates for the whole Centre:

  • £10 per hour (up to 8 hours)
  • £80 for a 24-hour booking
  • £130 for an overnight booking (6pm–10am)
  • £220 for a full weekend (Fri 6pm – Sun 10am)

Scout or Guide groups receive 50% off 24-hour, overnight and weekend bookings.

Rules & Restrictions

  • Alcohol allowed with the appropriate licence
  • Bouncy castles permitted indoors and outdoors
  • Noise must be kept low after 10pm
  • Parties must finish by 9pm
  • Open flames and candles permitted
  • No pets allowed
  • No smoking or vaping anywhere on site
  • Hirers must hold public liability insurance

Access & Booking Information

  • Keys collected from a volunteer (details provided upon booking)
  • No meet-and-greet on arrival
  • Early setup available by arrangement
  • Please leave the venue clean and tidy
  • Deposits required for overnight and weekend bookings
  • Minimum booking notice: 24 hours
