Welcome to Stroud Valley Scouts — home to flexible, affordable and family-friendly spaces in the heart of Stroud. Whether you’re planning a children’s party, running a weekly class, hosting a meeting or organising a community event, we offer a choice of indoor and outdoor areas to suit your needs.

Our venues are regularly used by local groups, families and youth organisations. All income goes directly back into supporting Scouting in Stroud — helping young people learn skills for life.

Our Spaces

We offer three versatile hire options:

• Stroud Valley Scout Centre – our main building, with two spacious halls and a large secure outdoor area.
• The Coach House – a newly refurbished, self-contained space perfect for smaller groups and creative sessions.
• Equipment Hire – a growing range of items available to support your event, activity or celebration.

Stroud Valley Scout Centre

Our main centre is ideal for clubs, classes, children’s parties, performances, larger meetings and community events. It includes two bright halls, kitchen access and a fully enclosed outdoor space.

Typical uses include:

• Children’s birthday parties
• Community meetings and AGMs
• Drama, music and dance rehearsals
• Training sessions and workshops
• Fitness, wellbeing and hobby groups
• Youth group activities (Scouts, Guides, clubs)

The Coach House

Recently refurbished, the Coach House offers a warm, characterful and self-contained space perfect for smaller groups. With its own entrance and facilities, it’s a popular choice for meetings, tutoring, craft sessions, therapy work and creative workshops.

Outdoor Space

The Scout Centre’s outdoor area is fully enclosed, making it ideal for supervised children’s activities, group games, family gatherings and warm-weather events. It’s available as part of Scout Centre bookings and can be used flexibly alongside either hall.

Equipment Hire

We’re expanding our offer to include a range of equipment for local events, community activities and celebrations. From tables and chairs to event shelters and activity kits, our equipment hire supports the local community while raising funds for the group.
